Реакция планктонных копепод Белого моря на изменения солености воды в острых и хронических экспериментах

Обитающие в Белом море планктонные веслоногие ракообразные Calanus glacialis, Pseudocalanus spp., Triconia borealis и Metridia longa обычно не считаются толерантными к уменьшению солености воды, а Oithona similis, как правило, причисляется к эвригалинным видам. Однако жизненный цикл первых двух родов включает активное питание во время весеннего таяния льда, когда большая часть их источников пищи сосредоточена в верхнем слое воды, характеризующемся соленостью менее 18‰. M. longa и T. borealis – мезопелагические виды. Первый размножается осенью и, таким образом, меньше всего зависит от весеннего цветения фитопланктона; размножение второго происходит весной в глубоких слоях воды, однако оба они находятся в фотическом слое в весенний период. С целью выявления способности всех вышеперечисленных видов веслоногих ракообразных получать достаточно энергии для роста и размножения, используя опресненные, но насыщенные пищей слои воды, в июле 2019 г. и марте 2020 г. была проведена серия хронических и острых экспериментов. Смертность копепод изучали при 25/26‰ (контроль), 18‰ и 15‰ (эксперимент). У C. glacialis и Pseudocalanus spp. в краткосрочных 24-часовых экспериментах уровень смертности был невысок и составлял от 0 до 1.1 ± 0.2%. Смертность данных видов достигала максимума после пяти дней постепенного уменьшения солености воды до 15‰ (12.1 ± 1.8%), при этом в контроле (25/26‰) и при 18‰ этот показатель был вдвое меньше (6.4 ± 0.5% и 6.9 ± 0.6%, соответственно). T. borealis была самым стеногалинным видом, демонстрируя 100% смертность уже при 18‰ после 2 часов экспозиции. M. longa не переносила солевого стресса при 15‰, достигая 100% смертности через 24 часа экспозиции. O. similis хорошо переносила снижение солености и,
таким образом, проявляла эвригалинность, как и указывается для этого вида в различных областях его ареала.
